Boxers say a big thank you after a year to savour

Successful First Year

REDDITCH Community Amateur Boxing Club would like to say a massive thank you for all the support received in its successful first year.

Officials are grateful to all volunteers, local sponsors, project users and the local businesses and organisations that have contributed towards the success of the club during 2014.

Among those deserving of thanks are Omega Tiles, Classic Kitchens, UK Skip Hire, Hellothere Computers, Gym Being and many others.

Redditch Community ABC is a community interest company that uses boxing as a vehicle for social change and community integration and it relies hugely on the support of the people of Redditch and surrounding areas to be able to continue offering services into the community.

Owner and director Sarah Lee said: “We are looking forward to a prosperous start to the 2015 season and the members of our boxing squad are already training hard and showing promise.

“We are making great strides to implement our inclusive boxing and inclusive Zumba programmes for those with various disabilities, as well as making continuous improvements to the community project.

“The club is starting to work alongside many of the local schools, offering boxing classes for students, and we hope to work with many more schools in Redditch during 2015 to assist the element of learning through sports.

“We are growing from strength to strength, building on an existing team of qualified coaches and boxers, and look forward to a fantastic year ahead.”

Anyone who wants to get involved in this amazing community project can come and visit the club in Matchborough Centre or phone 07541 133844.
